Samsung Galaxy tablet EU ban overturned

A court in Dusseldorf has lifted the injunction it granted Apple last week, which prevented Samsung from selling its Galaxy Tab 10.1 in all European Union countries except the Netherlands.

The initial injunction banned Samsung’s Korean-based parent company and its German subsidiary from selling the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the EU.

Apple and Samsung in legal battle

Apple has issued legal proceedings in California against one of its component suppliers, Samsung. The court filing on April 15 alleges that several of the company’s Android phones and tablets, including the Nexus S, Epic 4G, Galaxy S 4G, and the Galaxy Tab, infringe on Apple’s intellectual property.
