Apple backtracks on Mac Defender and promises fix in days

Apple has confirmed that it will ‘deliver a Mac OS X software update that will automatically find and remove Mac Defender malware and its known variants’ within days.

In a support document on its website, the company said the update would also ‘help protect users by providing an explicit warning if they download this malware.’
