HP exits PC business and kills TouchPad tablet

HP, the company which sells more personal computers worldwide than any other, announced yesterday that it would stop making PCs. The company also announced that it has decided to withdraw the TouchPad and the PalmPre from the market.

‘HP…will discontinue operations for webOS devices, specifically the TouchPad and webOS phones. HP will continue to explore options to optimize the value of webOS software going forward,’ the company said in a statement.
