Adobe helps developers put Flash content on iPad and iPhone

Adobe has announced an update to Flash Media Server which will allow Flash content to be streamed to iOS devices.

Flash Media Server 4.5 repackages audio and video content in real time and changes the protocol, to, say, HTTP Dynamic Streaming, to suit the target device. This, says Adobe, will allow ‘businesses to use the same media and live streams to deliver full adaptive bit-rate experiences to platforms supporting Flash, as well as Apple devices, including iPad and iPhone.’

Adobe launches Creative Suite 5.5 and Digital Publishing Suite Pro

Adobe has announced the release of Creative Suite 5.5, which it says will be the first of a regular series of mid-cycle releases.

The new features are focused on web production and include new tools for Flash authoring, HTML5 and app development, and improved jQuery support.

Adobe has released version 2 of its iOS application, Photoshop Express. The new version features an in-app purchase option called Camera Pack.

Camera Pack has three features; Reduce Noise, Self Timer, and Auto Review. The sensor on the iPhone is notoriously prone to noise and the Reduce Noise feature is designed to combat that by smoothing images.

Adobe announces Enterprise Edition of its Digital Publishing Suite
