Configurator creates custom Photoshop 11:33AM, Thursday 20th November 2008
Adobe has released a tool that allows Photoshop CS4 users to configure custom panels of often-used tools and techniques.

Configurator is a standalone utility that lets you drag and drop tools, menu items, scripts, actions and other objects into a panel design, then export the results for use inside Photoshop. And with Photoshop’s built-in Flash support, these panels can also include audio, video and Flash files.

Adobe says that Configurator is designed for Photoshop users who would like to customise the application’s interface without having to learn a new program.

Configurator 1.0 is a free download from Adobe Labs.

John Nack, senior product manager for Adobe Photoshop, has more information on his blog.

Earlier this week, Adobe released Pixel Blender, another free tool for Photoshop and other CS4 applications.
