Ballmer still frosty on Yahoo deal 9:28AM, Thursday 20th November 2008
Steve Ballmer has reiterated that Microsoft has no interest in buying Yahoo, despite the resignation of Jerry Yang.

"Let me be as clear as I think I've tried to be publicly. We are done with all acquisition discussions with Yahoo," Ballmer told Microsoft's annual shareholders meeting.

Ballmer avoided talking about Yahoo during his preprepared remarks, however, it was the first question from the floor.

"I've said that a bunch of times. Somehow some people have gotten confused nonetheless," Ballmer added. "We thought we had something that made sense. (It) didn't make sense to them. We've moved on."

However, Ballmer admitted his company was still interested in resuming talks on a search deal, claiming Microsoft would be "very open to it."
