We may still be waiting for those thrilling new hardware announcements, but there was plenty at Apple’s Worldwide Developers’ conference to get excited about. Previews of OS X Yosemite and iOS 8 hinted at a more open Apple, at least as far as developers are concerned. Add to that the acquisition of Beats and with it, Dr Dre and it seems Tim Cook is shaping a new Apple.
