Apple is close to a deal with US cable TV network, Time Warner which will allow it to make TV programmes from the network available to subscribers via Apple TV, according to Bloomberg.
While it is unlikely to be announced for several months, the agreement is further evidence of Apple’s intentions with regard to its ‘hobby’ TV service and follows the addition of HBO Go and Sky News last month.
Bloomberg also reported that Apple has hired a senior executive from US on-demand TV service Hulu. Paul Distad, a former vice president of marketing, will help with negotiations with content owners, said Bloomberg.
