iOS 7 beta lands on iPad

by Kenny Hemphill on June 24, 2013

Apple issued the second beta version of iOS 7 today and with it, a version for the iPad. When Apple issued the first version of iOS 7 at WWDC two weeks ago, it said the iPad version would be available ‘soon.’

In addition to being available for the iPad, iOS 7 beta 2 sees the return of the Voice memos app, which was missing from version 1. Also included are the new Siri versions which were previewed at WWDC but missing from version 1.

Registered developers running version 1 of iOS 7 beta on an iPhone or iPod touch can update through Software Update on their device. Installation on an iPad must be done through iTunes.
