Apple has announced details of its 2013 film-making summer camp for kids. The classes, which are free for 8-12 year-olds, cover making movies with iMovie. There are three, daily, 90-minute sessions. The camp takes place at Apple retail stores in July and August.
In addition to covering the basics of iMovie on the Mac, the sessions cover the basics of using Garageband on the iPad. The third day is a film festival where kids show the results of their work to parents.
Space is limited, allocated on a first come, first served basis and slots usually fill up quickly. Places can be reserved on Apple’s website, though they are not yet available.
