Apple kicks-off WWDC with packed keynote including new Macs

by Kenny Hemphill on June 10, 2013

Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer Conference started today with a bang, when Tim Cook and his executive team took to the stage to launch new Macs, a new iTunes Radio service, and to preview new versions of OS X and iOS 7.

The MacBook Air range was over-hauled and Apple even previewed the upcoming Mac Pro.

iTunes Radio allows you to create customised radio stations and will be completely free, albeit initially only available in the US, to iTunes Match subscribers. Everyone else will be able to access it free but with adverts.

OS X 10.9 will be called Mavericks and has several performance improvements and new features, and iOS 7 was described by Tim Cook as ‘the biggest change to iOS since the introduction of iPhone.’
