MacUser selected as one of ten ‘Covers of the Century’

by Adam Banks on February 26, 2013

MacUser’s February 2012 issue “How evil is Apple?” has been nominated as one of the ten best magazine covers of the past century by the PPA, the UK’s trade association for periodical publishers.

The Covers of the Century, selected by judges from over 100 chosen by publishing companies to represent their best work, were revealed at a 25 February ceremony hosted at London’s Millbank Tower by the PPA, which is celebrating its centenary.

Other nominated covers include a 1916 edition of Women’s Weekly, the first UK issue of Cosmopolitan, Time Out’s notorious ‘two fingers’ to Winston Churchill, Kate Moss on the cover of Vogue, the Beano’s iconic 1999 Dennis the Menace cover, and the Radio Times’s tribute to Doctor Who’s daleks.

You can see all ten covers here and vote for your favourite to win the overall title of Cover of the Century, to be announced in November.
