Apple has started shipping the 27in version of the new iMac, several weeks earlier than expected. Reports on user forums, Twitter and Mac websites show that customers who bought a 27in iMac as soon as they became available for pre-order have had their credit cards charged and been notified that their iMac has shipped.
For those who haven’t yet ordered, Apple lists ‘January’ as the despatch date. The 21.5in model has a waiting time of 7-10 days.
Apple has issued a firmware update for the recently-launched Mac mini. The update fixes a flickering problem on displays connected to the Mac mini;s HDMI port.
