13in Retina MacBook Pro has Thunderbolt and HDMI

by Kenny Hemphill on October 22, 2012

Alongside the iPad mini and a revised version of the iPad 3, Apple is expected to introduce a 13in version of the Retina MacBook Pro. And it seems that someone has got their hands on a pre-production unit.

A poster on the Chinese forum, WeiPhone.com has, according to MacRumors, published photos of the new Mac. The images, small in size and few in number, show very little of the outside of the MacBook Pro. But they do highlight two Thunderbolt ports and an HDMI connector.

One image also shows a 13in Retina MacBook Pro and MacBook Air together, and seems to show that the Pro is thinner at the thick end than the Air.

According to MacRumors, which translated the post:

Other photos include small shots of the main logic board, internals for the various ports, and 8 GB of RAM from Elpida. Several screenshots said to be of the machine booted into Windows 7 and showing an available Retina display resolution of 2560×1600 pixels are also included.
