iTunes Match now live in UK

by Kenny Hemphill on December 16, 2011

iTunes Match has officially gone live in the UK. It costs £21.99 per year. Part of Apple’s iCloud suite of services, iTunes Match scans your iTunes library for tracks not bought from the iTunes Store.

It then tries to match them with tracks in its library. When it finds a match, it allows you to access that track from its servers on any device authorised on your iTunes account. Those tracks for which it doesn’t have a match can be uploaded so you can access them from other devices.
