Twitter lets fly with overhauled app

by Kenny Hemphill on December 8, 2011

Twitter has introduced a significant upgrade which includes several new features. The revision, dubbed ‘Let’s Fly’ by the company, revolves around four new tabs; Home, Connect, Discover, and Me.

The re-design is intended to make it easier to engage with the Twitter network and to share media such as photos and video.

It’s currently available on iOS, as an update from the App Store, but at the moment the changes are only available on the iPhone. There’s no update yet for the OS X client.

The most visible changes are on the web client, but those are currently only available to a handful of users. Twitter says it will roll out the new interface to all users over the next few weeks.
