Adobe puts Photoshop and Premiere Elements on App Store

by Kenny Hemphill on November 7, 2011

Adobe has started selling versions of its popular Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements applications on the Mac App Store.

The apps, called Photoshop Elements Editor and Premiere Elements Editor, contain most, but not all, of the features of the boxed versions.

The omissions listed by Adobe on the App Store description pages are support for Elements organiser, a media library which is shared across the two apps, and support for case sensitive HFS volumes.

Until now, the only Adobe app available on the App Store was Carousel, tool for editing and sharing photos in the cloud. The app itself is free and comes with a complimentary 30-day subscription, but a paid-for subscription is required in order to keep using it after that.

Photoshop Elements Editor and Premiere Elements Editor each cost £54.99 on the App Store, £25 cheaper than the full retail version of each.
