Apple announced two new iPods at its ‘Let’s talk about iPhone’ event today.

The iPod nano has an improved multi-touch screen and a new fitness app allows tracking of workouts and runs without the need for an additional sensor. It has 16 new clock faces, comes in seven colours and is available today for £115 and £129.

The iPod touch was also updated and now features iMessage. ‘Not only is it the most popular music player in the world, but we’re excited to announce it’s now also the most popular portable game player in the world,’ said Phil Schiller senior vice president of worldwide product marketing.

It now comes in white as well as black and supports iCloud. Prices start at £169 for the 8GB version. There’s also a 16GB model for £249, and a 64GB version for £329.
