Wacom has announced the largest version yet of its combined graphics tablet and display, the Cintiq 24HD.
The 1920 x 1200 pixel display has a counter-weighted stand, as well handles and spring-assisted mechanism to make it easy to adjust, and can sit on your lap, extend from the edge of a desk, or stand almost vertically.
‘The Cintiq 24HD is a wonderful example of what can be done when expert design experience and quality engineering are intelligently combined with user feedback from the professional community,’ said Guido Möller, product manager professional brands at Wacom Europe. ‘All the right elements have been incorporated into our new flagship product to help expand its capabilities and to improve its appeal in such markets as animation, photography and video production where a wide format, colour-accurate, high-definition display is a crucial requirement.’
The Cintiq’s bezel has been designed to allow it to be used as a hand and arm rest, and is also home to the customisable ExpressKeys and TouchRing. The Cintiq’s pen features the same 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity as those used with Wacom’s Intuos tablets.
The Cintiq 24HD will be available in October for £1999.
