Apple will soon unveil a new support plan, called Joint Venture, aimed at small businesses, according to a report.
The plan will be launched in the US on Wednesday, the same day as the special event being held in San Francisco which is almost certain to unveil the next version of the iPad. It will be available in the UK from the following day.
According to the report, Apple retail store employees in the US were briefed yesterday about the plan, which will cost $500 per year for up to five Macs and be offered to small businesses when they buy a new Mac. The plan will include the option to have Apple Geniuses install and set-up Microsoft Exchange.
The plan will reportedly operate in similar fashion to Apple’s Pro Care plan which gives members priority when making reservations at Genius Bars and scheduling repairs. Other benefits of the plan will include personal data transfer and group training sessions.
Apple sent out invitations to the San Francisco event last week. In keeping with recent tradition, the invitation itself hinted at the content of the announcement, showing an iPad hiding behind the date being peeled off from an iCal calendar. MacUser will be there and will have full details of the announcement here and in the 18 March issue of the mag.
