News Corp has announced the launch of The Daily, a new newspaper that will only be available on the iPad.
At a event next week, News Corp boss Rupert Murdoch will be joined on stage by Apple’s vice president of internet services, Eddy Cue, who is expected to introduce a new subscription payments mechanism for iTunes accounts.
This is likely to be accompanied by a new “push” mechanism for automatically delivering each issue to subscribers’ iPads.
