Three and Orange are listing the white iPhone 4 for sale, giving the first indication that the long-delayed colour option may soon be shipping in the UK.
Last week the handset also showed up on internal systems at US network AT&T and Vodafone Germany.
Apple has delayed the release of the white phone three times. The first delay put it back just a few weeks to the end of July. Then as that deadline approached Apple said that the handset had prove “more challenging to manufacture” than expected. In October, the company, without explanation, said that white would not be available until Spring 2011.
The suspicion was, at that stage, that the white iPhone 4 would never go on sale.
That may still be the case. While Orange and Three are both listing 16GB and 32GB white modes, the first says it’s “out of stock” and the other that it is “currently unavailable”.
