A Kent woman has won a $10,000 iTunes gift card after one of her daughters made the 10 billionth App Store download.
The app, Paper Glider, was purchased by Gail Davis of Orpington, though as she told BBC Radio 5 Live, it wasn’t her.
“I have to confess it wasn’t me who downloaded it but my daughters,” Davis said.
She first thought that the phone call was a prank and refused to take it, but the company persisted.
“I had that moment of blind panic but Apple kindly phoned me back and said I was a winner.”
