Apple adds playlists to Ping

by Simon Aughton on December 14, 2010

Apple continues to add features to iTunes Ping, the latest enhancement is the ability to create and publish playlists.

You can either create a playlist from scratch in the Ping screen or upload an existing iTunes playlist by clicking the arrow next to its name. Playlists can then be posted to your Ping profile and, of course, elsewhere on the internet.

You can also allow friends to add songs to a playlist — a feature that Spotify has made popular as an easy way to get music recommendations.

Of course, to listen to a playlist, you have to stump up for the tracks.
