Orange, T-Mobile and 3 have started offering the 16GB iPad Wi-Fi + 3G for just £199.

The deal includes a two-year contract for the 3G connection that costs £25 per month (though Orange wants £27 from new customers).

At Orange, that buys you 1GB of mobile data at peak times and another 1GB off-peak — between midnight and 4pm — plus 3GB of data through BT Openzone wireless hotspots.

T-Mobile is also offering 1GB of data at peak times and 1GB at ‘quiet time’ — midnight to 10am — but it includes no Wi-Fi hotspot usage. However, unlike Orange, T-Mobile doesn’t reserve the right to restrict your bandwidth should it deem it necessary.

At 3, the £25 will buy a huge 15GB of data. Wi-Fi is not included.

All three operators, as well as O2, also offer SIM-only tariffs requiring no contract.

Apple sells the 16GB iPad Wi-Fi + 3G for £529.
