The latest version of the easy-to-use web design application, RapidWeaver is now available. Described by Realmac Software as a ‘significant upgrade to the company’s critically-acclaimed website creation application,’ it features six new themes, bringing the total to 45.
RapidWeaver 5 also has a completely re-written resources system which allows users to manage website resources such as PDFs, images, and Zip files, in one place. There’s a new sitemap plug-in for HTML sitemaps, and XML sitemaps are generated automatically and submitted to search engines.
A built-in FTP bookmark manager allows users to store details needed to upload site files to a web server, and built-in support for Google Analytics makes it easy to keep track of how many visitors a site has and where they have come from.
The Projects Window makes it easy to open favourite or recent RapidWeaver projects, and the new add-ons area allows users to find new add-ons and keep track of updates to existing ones.
Daniel Counsell, Founder and Director of Realmac Software, said: ‘This latest version of RapidWeaver continues to set the bar for easy website creation. There’s a tonne of new features and UI refinements to make building websites as painless as possible.’
RapidWeaver 5 is priced at $79 or, as an upgrade to previous versions, for $39. It needs Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6. A free trial is available from RapidWeaver’s website.
