Apple has cut the price of the Mac mini by £50, following a rise in the value of sterling.
The 2.4GHz model drops to £599 (incl. VAT) while the 2.66GHz OS X Server version is now £879.
The specifications are unchanged from June when Apple launched the redesigned mini in two models, one running the standard, desktop version of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, the other running Snow Leopard Server.

Apple employed the same unibody construction method it pioneered in its MacBooks to reduce the size of the Mac mini to just 195mm square and 36mm deep, into which it fits an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and Nvidia GeForce 320M graphics chip, a hard drive or two and the power supply, plus the internal gubbins that supports an SD card slot slot, HDMI and Mini DisplayPort video output, combined optical digital audio, four USB 2 ports, one FireWire 800 port, Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
