Apple has introduced iLife 11, the latest version of its software suite for working with photos, video, and websites. iLife 11 features new versions of iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand, and also includes iWeb and iDVD.
Highlights of iPhoto 11 include a new full-screen view; better sharing of images using FaceBook and email; a new photo book builder with improved autoflow; and the option to order Letterpress cards incorporating your photographs.
iMovie 11 allows users to create trailers of their movies, has beefed up audio editing tools, and introduced one-step effects such as jump cuts, flips, and colour transitions. It also has a People Finder, which works in a similar way to Faces in iPhoto, new themes for sports and news, and the option to export for Vimeo or YouTube.
GarageBand 11 adds Flex Time and Groove Matching, tools to tighten up the timing of tracks and improve the rhythm and feel of recordings. It also adds seven new amps and five extra stomp box effects. The Lessons feature has been expanded with the ability to check your accuracy as you play along with lessons, keep score, and track your progress.
iLife 11 is available immediately and costs £45.
