Apple closes .Mac HomePage

by Simon Aughton on October 11, 2010

Apple has announed that it is to discontinue support for HomePage websites, having mothballed the feature when .Mac was replaced by MobileMe.

From 8 November it will no longer be possible to view websites created using HomePage; content — photos, movies and shared files — will remain on the user’s iDisk.

Sites created using iWeb or Aperture are not affected; nor are custom sites that have been uploaded to the iDisk’s Sites folder and viewec via the homepage.mac.com URL.

More information can be found in MobileMe: .Mac HomePage Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
