Several US resellers have run out of stock of the MacBook Air, suggesting that a new model may be imminent.
AppleInsider reports that all but one of the Apple Authorized Resellers that it tracks have run out of the low-end version of the lightweight laptop while two are also short of the faster model.
“This marks the first time that AppleInsider has witnessed this abnormal trend in regards to the Air since it began tracking availability of Apple’s Mac line on a daily basis over two years ago,” the website says.
The Air was last revamped more than a year ago. The shortage may suggest that Apple is running stock down ahead of the release of a new model.
