Apple has released the latest software update for iPhone and iPod touch.
As expected, the update adds support for Apple’s new social gaming resource, Game Center, as well fixes for the iPhone 4’s proximity sensor and full Bluetooth audio capabilities.
Game Center has a dedicated section on the App Store, listing games that let you play with and against other Game Center members, once you’ve signed up. It will be available on the iPad with the release of iOS 4.2 in November.
iOS 4.1 is available through iTunes and also includes several security patches.
Apple has also updated iMovie for iPhone and the new camera-equipped iPod touch, adding the ability to split video clips, automatic music looping when video extends beyond the music track and in-app editing tips.
