Apple has fix for iPhone security hole

by Simon Aughton on August 5, 2010

Apple says it has a fix for the iPhone security vulnerability exploited by the JailbreakMe hack.

“We’re aware of this reported issue, we have already developed a fix and it will be available to customers in an upcoming software update,” the company said in a statement.

The vulnerability has made jailbreaking iOS easier than ever — all the user has to do is point an iPhone or iPad at a web page and swipe when prompted to download a PDF that contains the jailbreaking code.
