Apple has announced that it will not be able to make its own end-of-July deadline for the release of the white iPhone 4.
The company had already delayed its release because of manufacturing problems which it has still not been able to overcome.
“White models of Apple’s new iPhone 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year,” the company said in a statement.
It added that the availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected, though the online Apple Store is still quoting a three-week wait for new handset orders.
