Apple has asked US regulators to approve its design for a trackpad that can be used with dekstop computers and other devices such as the Apple TV.
While the filing describes an unnamed trackpad that requires a Bluetooth connection, it almost certainly relates to the so-called Magic Trackpad, known to have been in development for some months.
