Apple adds webmail spam filtering to .Mac 10:08AM, Thursday 9th August 2007
Apple has enabled server-side spam filtering for .Mac email.

.Mac subscribers can enable filtering of messages using the Preferences option in the webmail interface. Junk mail can then be synced with the junk mail folder in the desktop Mail client.

Instructions for enabling webmail junk filtering are posted in Setting up .Mac Mail to mark junk mail automatically; syncing Junk mail is explained in .Mac: Keeping Junk mail folder contents consistent in .Mac Webmail and Mac OS X Mail.

Apple announced earlier this week that it was implementing improved spam filtering in .Mac, its suite of Internet-based applications.
